Professional Wedding Photographers – Are we really worth it? I recently did a fashion shoot and had an avid amateur photographer shoot with me with his own equipment. After a couple of frames he looked at my LCD and said: “wow, why is yours so much different than mine?”, I couldn’t take the time to explain things to him, but I took his camera and changed some settings. His shots were still not as good, but better than before.
Questions for you: 1. Do you know how to shoot dark-skinned people? 2. What about shooting when there’s sun versus shade? 3. Can you manipulate your camera do get the desired effects or do you point and shoot and hope? 4. Which focal lengths are you using? 5. Can you make the shots more dramatic? 6. What about depth of field. 7. Do you know how to handle the white balance? Etc…
